Hiss on FX Loop

This may have been discussed but I couldn't find it. Asking for a friend (really, I am). He said his FX Loop always has a hiss. Anyone know how to fix that?

Not sure. He just said anything he runs, weather its a pedal or a loadbox it all just makes noise

I would start with simple troubleshooting first. I would start with a blank preset with an effects loop block. Use nothing but a cable in the loop set up for unity gain. If it's really noisy I would contact support.

If not, start adding the devices into the loop 1 at a time making sure the levels correctly are set and that you have unity gain. The manual covers this procedure either way you should be able to ID the problem.
