Wish Herbert Midcut in Amp Block

Honest question. Since I’m not familiar with Herbert’s or the mid cut one bit. If the mids are where the guitar lives, how does the mid cut benefit our tone? As opposed to the mid boost

Well it depends on which range of mids you are cutting out
With the DZL that control is centered around 435 hz IIRC
When you scoop that out you are essentially shifting the focus to the higher mids
