Help With Understanding Ultra-Res

Can someone explain exactly what this is? Also I read in some places that if you use the cabinet IR's like I do that if you go Ultra-Res there is some sort of conversion process to get things happening in my AxeFxII XL. I'm a technological blunder / dummy so any help with this subject matter would be greatly appreciated. Is there a major sound difference between Ultra-Res and everything else? I just purchased the OwnHammer High Gain Essentials Diezel 412 with Celestion Lynchbacks file and moved the XL files to my AxeFx and checked them out and they are AMAZING, but I think these were general files. Am I correct in saying that?

Basically it a longer sample of the Impulse Response, this equals a more accurate or greater content snapshot of the cab being recorded. There is a thread that Cliff posted showing the differences between a high and UR IR and the differences are significant especially in the low end.
