Help with external switch

TBH, I'd like to see that. How can the software know that you've taken your foot off the switch when it doesn't receive a signal that says you have?

You don't actually need to know when your foot has been taken off. You just need to know that the switch changed from open→closed or closed→open and take action accordingly. The downside is you lose a decent amount of flexibility (eg: you can't do anything like holding the switch or performing an action on release)

OP in thread here seemed to get it working as desired, but didn't clarify if the switches were latching or momentary hardware.
