Help using the digital outs

Im new at digital out /in . I want to use the digital outs of the axe to my Emu 0404 . Do I need to worry about any settings or is it just plug and play ?. Im recording with cubase 3.0 Do i just select digital in on the track Im recording ?

If you are not using DIGITAL In on the axe-fx, then you need to make sure your interface is configured to get the clock externally (external master, or slave or whatever the terminology is for your interface). Also it only does 48Khz so be aware of that.
 
Thanks Im only going to use the digital out from the AXE to the in on the Emu 0404. Any issues there or just plug it in and go ?
