Been trying to figure this out for 3 hours so I thought I'd ask on the Forums
So I was initially using an audio interface (Alesis iO2) to record my axe fx but I noticed it was muddying the sound when recording (sounded much clearer and crisper coming directly through the Axe). - Side question, are there any recommended interfaces that won't do this?
Since a lot of people recommended it, I decided to record via USB directly into the AxeFX. (basically trying to use the AxeFX as an interface)..however I'm not "techy" enough to understand how to do this? I have plugged my headphones directly into the AxeFX and I can hear the axe as I'm playing it but I can't figure out how to route the stereo out of my Cubase through the axe fx so I can hear cubase (metronome, drums ect.).
Under "audio connections" in Cubase I've set the Stereo Out to "Axe-FX II Audio Out", but I still can't hear anything? Do I have to use the output 1/4 inch jacks on the back of the AxeFx into Studio Monitors? If so then is there no way I can just hear everything I need through my headphones?
If someone could help I would appreciate greatly!
