Headphone input better than output 1 or 2 !?!

it’s possible that I hear monitors better by plugging them into the headphone input than directly to output 1 or 2 ... or is it a matter of wired or non-wired cables?

I would not recommend that. It's possible that it sounds different, but it is not ideal. Connect your powered monitors to the line level outputs on the back of the unit.

with no level control on the speaker, you don’t have many options.

You can look if your preset is leveled for ca. 0dB output. You can check it by looking at the output-level-meter(left/right) in the output block with FM3-Edit (while playing).
