Having massive logic problems! midi-drums

Okay !

When trying to record, let's say, the snare in one take and the hi-hat in another; the given outcome should be in one midi-track, right??

Logic keeps layering every recording in the same track and it's F"#U%€ me up

I need one track with all the midi-notes/drum-notes and not 8 different tracks.

Can you guys help me?

If you select all the regions (provided they're in the right spot) and right click on them, there should be a 'merge' option somewhere. This will create 1 midi region from the overlapping files.

Ill check that out. But is there a way to get around the merging thing and just record it all in one region ?

There's no automatic way when you're doing multiple takes. Playing the whole kit in one go will indeed result in one single region with everything in...

Otherwise, try the Preferences / Recording / MIDI / Overlapping Recordings and choose the "Merge with selected regions" option and remember to select the region you want the new MIDI to merge with
