In my profession as a music therapist, I've worked with some people with parkinson. Music and exercise appears to have good effects. Possibly with drumming having an edge. The combination (dancing) seams to be extra beneficial. Learning to drum and dance has been some of the best boosts I've experienced for my guitar playing too.
