Hammer to Fall - Queen

Folks -

First, credit where credit is due. I am a HUGE Night Ranger fan, and Mark Day's "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" was absolutely inspirational. I shamelessly ripped it off, tweaked the amp, cab, reverb, and delay and came up with what I think is a good approximation of Queen's "Hammer To Fall". Feel free to bludgeon me publicly and mercilessly if you feel differently. BTW - I kept the HBE because it just sounded so frickin' awesome (only Vox'ish thing here is a 2x12, and it's not even a Vox). I am also (obviously) a Queen fan. In any case, please critique it as you feel appropriate. I have lots of other Queen tones I would like to nail, so feedback is a plus. Thanks!

I should have mentioned:

  1. This was done with a PRS McCarty in bridge humbucker mode
  2. The firmaware was 7.00
  3. I was referencing RCF 12's and Mackie/Tannoy studio monitors as well
Thanks!

Pete

I downloaded it last night and thought it sounded good. Maybe not Brian May, but good. I want to break out the queen CD's though and try a real comparison.
