Haiku review

All the sounds that I will need.
Frac_tal are bril_li_ant."

Granted, I'm no English major but that's how I'd count that.

Agreed on the general sentiment though.
 
Actually Haiku in English is rather more flexible- you could do 1/3/1 and still call it Haiku.
To be completely in the haiku style it needs to be in Japanese but we English speakers seem to like to take things like this and reapply then in our native tongue.

Technically, also, a Haiku should have kigo (season word) and a kireji (literally a 'cutting word' usually a dash, comma, fullstop or some other punctuation mark).

Ok, I get it. But out of interest, how many syllables are there in your haiku, then? I never learned exactly how you count syllables in languages with non-phonetic orthography.
