Guitars: how many and brands?

if that's the case I'll never marry a woman again That would be like her saying honey you only need one show car and I'd be like yeah right.jpg

Several have come and go, but I never had more than 4 (wife's guitar-in/guitar-out rule)

Ibanez RG550LTD with Seymour Duncan Aldrich & Dimarzio Bluesbucker + Roland GK-3. I'll never let this one go. It is a lucky piece of wood with mojo and duende
Ibanez JEM7V
Schecter Nick Johnston
Custom Shop USA
Fender American Deluxe with Seymour Duncan SSL-5 & CS Fat'50 + Roland GK-3

I keep hearing this "guitar in/guitar out" rule. Is it really that common? That bums me out

I've managed to expand the 4 guitars limit to 5.

I've sold the Boss GP-10 and I've bought a second hand Schecter Hellraiser C-1 Special to install some P90 pickups.

I told her that it was a swap: the GP-10 for the guitar  That was not a lie. It was a swap, but thorough 2 different transactions.

Though I've replaced the GP-10 with the SY-1000 :p

My wife will generally yell at me if I try to sell certain things so not much leaves, Its basically at the point where if im not playing it for an extended period of time or im just not jelling with it anymore it goes and I replace it with something else but the core of my herd stays put. I just got rid of my PRS SCHBII for that exact reason but replaced it with another Suhr which should be here by wed, id love to replace it with another PRS but nothing has been jumping out at me lately and im impatient.

I must have lucked out. My wife encourages me to buy more guitars. She's the best/worst kind of enabler.
My wife is generally pretty good about it but my daughter just started college and the cost almost caused me to stroke out . I have to be responsible for the next 4 years after that , i don't think she gives a sh*t. I used to have quite a collection and she didn't seem to care back then . Now it's different.

Hey do you have the stock pickups in your 752?

My wife encourages me to be responsible, which maybe I need that or not, and doesn't pay for herself, much less for luxuries like guitars. You do the math.

I'm very lucky to have a job, for a good company doing good works, so.

Since I am a leftie some things were harder to get if you didn’t want to pay excessive amounts. Anyway:
