I had a baby blue Ibanez Strat-style guitar back in the early '80s that my band mates dubbed "The Toilet Seat". It was a fitting name. (Great axe, though.)

Actually my late best friend, Mike Marler, made that toilet seat guitar. He bet me that he could build a guitar from an oak toilet seat and he did just that. Almost everything bought down the street at the hardware store. The neck was from an old Gretch guitar he had. His mom made the toilet paper roll strap.

I owned that guitar for quite a while and sold it about 1990-ish. DiMarzio pickup the think sounded stupidly awesome but it was a bitch to play. It rolled back and forth no matter if you were sitting or standing.
