GR-55 thru input 2 volume

I've been running my GR-55 thru input 2 and placing FXL on the first line of the grid after the Feedback return block (mix 100%) and connecting it to the Feedback send block on line 2 to get sound out of Output 2. My main issue is that the volume coming from the GR-55 isn't very strong, though the input 2 leds are running hot. I'm beginning to think that the best solution is to just buy a a small mixer and run both units individually.

Any tips from from any of you that run a guitar synth thru the Ultra?

GR-33 here, and I don't have a volume problem. Volumes are set:
. synth volume on guitar 50 to 60%
. GR-33 output 100%
. Ultra Input2 at 1 o'clock

I'm not using feedback blocks because I feed both guitar and synth to Output1. What is your level setting on the FXL block? You could try running FXL to Output1 to check your levels, and then re-introduce the feedback blocks, and check their levels.
