I'm looking for a good 2u or 3u case for home use. The axe would be sitting on my desk at all times, but I'd like to have a case to offer some more protection. Hopefully something slim, and not bulky like the Gator cases I see. I'm not looking to spend too much money, so hopefully around $100 or slightly more would be ok.

Also is a power conditioner absolutely necessary? I was planning on plugging the axe fx into a standard radio shack surge protector. I also have an old Monster Power Center that I use for my computer that I can also plug in to. Would these be good enough?
