I'm doing some experiments with this control and need to know if when I set the control to 7.xx that I'm pretty much getting the same modeling on my patches that Firmware 7.0 would gave as long as
A) MIMIC is off
B) Hardness is at 0
C) Master volume is back to 9 (max in version 7.0)
D) Character is at 0
E) Modeling version is set to 7.xx
Am I correct? Does this basically get me a firmware 7.00 sounding patch?
The reason for this is that I'm a heavily gigging musician and 7.00 has worked for me for SO many months. I switched to 10 and the change was so drastic that I really lost focus at a gig even though I thought I had my patches set alright. So what I'm doing now is setting up a hybrid setup where I can run 10, but sort of copy some of the sounds 7.0 creates. And I need a quick way to A/B the two.
