Gig bags/tool boxes

What are you guys using to bring your extra strings, tools, cables, etc... to gigs? For years, I've been using this little canvas bag with all of my stuff crammed in it, but I'm looking for a more elegant solution.

I thought about something like this and making little compartments out of foam: Standard Size ATA Briefcases | Accessory Cases

Tool boxes from Home Depot - pick your flavor. 1 for all audio and power cables; 1 for tools, strings, mics, gaffer's tape, straps, wireless, recorder, and stuff. Cheap, stackable, durable, easy to carry.

I use a ballistic nylon duffel bag. It holds my foot controller and pedals, an amp stand, a couple of guitar stands, wireless transmitter, spare cables, and whatever else I need. It's tough, lightweight and waterproof. And I never have to worry about whether something will fit into it. $7 at the local second-hand store.
