Ghost!

Can someone post a link to one of their tracks best tracks?
I want to give this band another listen, and the songs I've heard I didn't care for.....so can someone recommend a track??

Just start with the first album. Listen start to finish, it might take a few spins but once you get it you "get it". Their albums just flow so well, the songs by itself may not sound the same from following the previous song, if that makes sense lol
Yes, it can get cheesy (not really, by some standards), but that's part of their charm!

I really did not like Ghost at all until I heard songs from the new album, seen them 4 times now, once after the first record and I wasn't impressed, once after the second record, still not impressed, but after hearing Cirice I was hooked and seeing them live shortly after releasing Cirice was nice, I still got bored whenever old songs were played.
I thought it was all in my head, but I didn't know which songs were from which album so whenever I got bored I had to ask my friend who knows their stuff better if an old song was being played, the answer was always "yes", but when hearing one of the new songs I got excited.
I don't know why this is, it's not really that different soundwise between their records, but something about the old songs just don't seem to fit their image, at least that's how I see it.

They are maturing as artists, and learning what people enjoy and respond to. I really liked the entire first CD and several songs on the second, but the new one just kills.

I guess it's a love or hate thing with Ghost. In my case I love them and I think it is because they are just great songwriters. It's not the most technical music but the songs are really well-crafted with an eerie vibe and I love their guitar tones.

I came across them the first time here in this thread, two days ago. The controversy made me intrigued so I had to check it out. In these two days, I certainly became their fan, as well as few friends of mine...I recommend "Cirice" as a starter.

If you don't care for that here is where I would start all off latest album, you gotta just accept the vocals and go from there

Hah, I think that first link is incorrect. I don't think that is Ghost unmasked...

A bit hokey, and lacking a little stage energy (IMO), but I 100% agree they get some fantastic tones, both bass and guitar. Top notch musicianship as well

CBS kind of screwed them here a bit. The song was WAYYY cut down, the entire intro was cut out, the riffs between verse/chorus were cut down and I believe the solo was abbreviated as well. Also I don't get the point of the film grain filter they used. Additionally, there was no band introduction or anything, he just said here's Ghost and they started. Letterman used to describe the band a bit before they played and then he would walk up to the band at the end of the show and introduce them again and kind of promo them and Colbert did not do this. I haven't seen any other episodes of his show since I am not really a fan of him but maybe that's just the way he does it. I kid you not though, seeing them in concert a few weeks ago was probably the best concert I have ever seen, energy, production, everything was perfect! And I have seen a ton of shows over the years so that's really saying something. I kind of wish they had played Majesty since it's my favorite song on Meliora but I'll take what I can get!

I appreciate their ability to create layered songs, but when it comes to live, I prefer performances without backing tracks. It's the same reason I don't jive with Devin Townsend live stuff.

We're really digging the Meliora album here. Had it cranked in the car heading out to get haircuts with my kids this morning. We got a chuckle out of scaring the natives with it that loud. They write a killer good metal hook.

I didn't really click with the other stuff they've put out but I really like the new album and the song they played on Colbert. I wonder what amp models they use on the axe. It seems like the bass has a big part in the character of the sound though.
