Getting an acoustic sound from my electric guitar

I am new to this ax8, and I'm wondering how to get an acoustic sound while still using my electric guitar. I've heard this can be done, so hopefully someone can guide me. Thanks!

Multi band compression is also useful to because electric and acoustic guitars have different attack and sustain characteristics.
I would love to see the 'Multi-Comp' block added to the AX8. I use it in my Acoustic simulation preset(s). I had to use a single 'Comp' block with some (parallel) 'Filter' blocks to get something workable.

I think @Moke acoustic simulator is the best. https://www.custompresets.com/store/p34/Moke's_'Acoustic_Simulator'_V3.2_-_For_Humbucker_Pickups_(AX8).html

It's not easily done - You have to have an IR that translates the EQ curve from your electric guitar to the EQ curve from an acoustic guitar

There is also this free pack from @fremen which is quite good. https://fremenpresets.com/downloads/ax8-acoustic-simulation/

There is a new version 5 coming. It has a bit more 'Resonance'. The Axe-Fx III, 4.03 version is done, just waiting for the firmware updates to settle down for a few days...lol... Hopefully firmware 5 (beta #2) will get it's official release soon?

Curious what may be in store for the AX8?

I'll second that.
We like @Moke 'cause he does good stuff.

Moke's acoustic simulator is fantastic - I bought mine when I first got my AX-8 - very happy with it and I've used it live many times

At the risk of sounding stupid (not my first time), since you can't create IRs with the AX8, how are you AX8 users creating an IR of your electric to translate in Moke's magic simulator?

In my case, the IR was created in the 'Tone Match' block of the Axe-Fx II or III. Then exported as an IR.

There are also ways to do this with various 'plug-ins'.

Moke's is good. Keep in mind that no simulator can completely mimic all of the tone and dynamics of a real acoustic, but getting close enough for most live mixes is achievable.

Hello. The preset that I use, I'm sure it's a preset that was shared some days back on this forum, but I can't remember where or when. So sorry for not mentionning the "real" author of this one.

I used it with a Telecaster (bridge pickup) and it sounds lovely to me!

Let me know what you think of it.
