Gapless Amp System - 5 channels 3 footswitches 1 scene

Here's a simple system I use to cover all amp gain levels with gapless transitions. For that, we'll use the two control switches with the x/y amp switch.

SW2 : clean / dirty
SW3 : crunch / high gain
SW4 : rhythm / lead

SW2 bypasses the amp block and engages a PEQ to simulate a clean amp.
SW3 controls the amp gain and gate threshold.
SW4 X/Y the amp.

I also added in the patch below a chorus and delay (SW7) to introduce a few extra automations :

SW2 affects the Delay Feedback and Diffusion, adding spacey reverb to clean tones.
SW2 affects Chorus Mix, increasing chorus on clean tones.
SW3 engages chorus, hence chorus is always used with crunch tones, optional with clean tones, and disabled on high gain tones.

To summarize :

1- clean channel via SW2, optional delay and chorus via SW3 & SW7.
2- rhythm crunch channel via SW3 (chorus on)
3- rhythm high gain channel by default (chorus off)
4- lead high gain channel via SW4 (chorus off)
5- lead crunch channel (chorus on)

That system has its flaws of course, it isn't (as far as I know) possible to automatize the delay or any effect with the Y amp, for example. The alternative is to replace the X/Y switch by the scene 1/2. Which increases the lag between rhythm and lead yet simplifies the footwork. However, in practice, this gapless system rarely requires to hit three switches at the same time.
