So, we've got Input 2 / Output 2 controlling the FX loop on the Axe-FX.
I'm using a G-System along with it and I've got no problems making it sound good. At the FX-loop block I drop the 'Main' down to -6dB or else I'll get audible clipping, the rest is open to twisting.
So, we've got these options:
- Input 2
- Output 2
- Level control on the FX-loop block
What would be the best case of gain staging here? Or in case of better phrasing: what would be the most neutral position for the knobs?
- Output 2 maxed and Input 2 adjusted accordingly to unity gain when bypassed?
- Input 2 maxed and Output 2 adjusted accordingly to unity gain when bypassed?
- Input 2 and Output 2 half-way and adjusting with the Level control inside the FX-loop block?
