FYI... I just spent about 16 hours trying to troubleshoot connectivity issues between my axe-fx Ultra and my windows 7 system/axe-edit 1.0.191 through an M-audio midisport 1x1 interface. Sometimes it would connect, sometimes not. Sometimes loopback test worked. Sometimes not.
I eventually discovered the midi cables had broken or shorting between one pin and the next. They were sealed cables so I could not repair them.
Bought 2 new ones today. Booted up. Connected first try.
