I've got my FX8 dialed in with my Rivera Fandango. I want to use the Rivera in stereo with my PRS Archon 25.
I think it would sound really good, Classic Rock amp and over the top distortion amp together!
Last night I unplugged the Rivera and plugged the Archon into the FX8.
Once I got all of the hum dialed out with isolation transformers and humbusters, it sounded really good!
When I tried to plug both amps in, I got an insanely loud motor-boating from the Archon.
A little bit of troubleshooting and I realized it was coming from the FX Return on the Archon.
Here is how it was setup:
FX8 Left = Fandango
FX8 Right = Archon
I was using the preamps of both amps, otherwise what is the point.
When I unplugged the Rivera, Archon still in the Right side of FX8, the noise was still there.
When I moved the Archon cables to the Left side of FX8, it sounded great again.
Is there a setting that I should change in the menu so that I can use both amps?
I have not tried Rivera on the Right side and Archon on the Left yet. Did not have enough time last night.
