FX8 Relay Question....

Good day. I have a Matchless Independence I'm running through the FX8 and the Relay works great. My question is has anyone moved the Relay around in the chain and does that make a difference. My FX8 sounds perfect on the clean channel then things tend to change a bit once I'm in the overdrive channel. Any help is appreciated !

I'm not sure what you mean by moving the relay in the chain. As I understand it, the relays are not part of the signal chain. They only serve to actuate the foot-switchable functions on your amp.

You might want to play around with which effects are pre (before the amp input) and post (in the effects loop of your amp assuming you are using the 4 cable method of setup). Time based effects like delay, chorus, and flange, and reverb sound better to me when in the effects loop (post). This is especially apparent when using an overdriven amp.
