FX8 Amp Relay for Mesa F100 head

I have a Mesa F-100 head that uses a 5-pin connection for the channel/reverb footswitch. Would I be able to use the midi connection for the amp channel switching or is there a way to make this work since it's not TRS?

With the mesa 5 pin connectors (Warning I am not 100% certain on this, please make sure you do your own research!), I think those are just looking for closed connections, so if you have a little breakout box made you could probably still operate this with the relay connectors on the fx8.
