FX Loop usage with running dual outputs

Searched for a while, its early and I cant seem to find anything.

I use both outputs. Unit is set to mono and Output1 is echo'd to 2.
OUT1L - FOH
OUT2L - Friedman ASM12

My question is, im trying to integrate a different overdrive pedal into the rig, but id like for it to run through the fx loop so that i could trigger it on and off with scenes. Can I still use the FX loop and send the signal out for Out2? Or does using the FX loop feature basically take over Out2.

the FX Loop in a preset will override the Echo function. Out 2 can be used as an aux output via Echo or an FX Loop, typically not both.
