To "age" your amp: turn Supply Sag up, B+ Time down, MV up (if not already). As you play single notes you'll hear ghost notes due to the supply ripple.

Hmmmmm, errrr, I have to confess, I will not never ever not by any means only nearly like those ghost notes! I still know the times when amps were like this. Way too loud, not even near a smooth sound, and those annoying ghost notes . . . The worst I remember is a Laney Klipp Amp (maybe a good idea for a tone match ))))).
And nowadays it is such a bliss to be able to decide to kill those ghost notes by just turning a virtual wheel! Don't let the critics turn you down, just let them help you ride the crest of the wave!
