Front Panel Encoders

I was curious if the front panel encoders can be programed to be assigned to whatever we may want them to be? That way for live editing no matter where you are in your scenes you know that knob one for example is always the drive level or whatever you may want it to be. The manual says their function is based on what is on the screen but I was wondering if that can be changed?

When this happens it will be awesome

I tend to think maybe they might add that functionality to the Performance
Mode so perhaps they were waiting to develop that and release the foot controllers
