From Axe-Fx III Grid to Computer Back to Grid

Hello,

I run Ableton Live on my computer and would like to route audio from the grid to my computer for looping, then back to the Axe-Fx III for Plex delay or Reverb. Is this possible?

Thanks for any help!

Hello North;

Absolutely.

Simply connect the AxeFx III to your computer via USB, and select the AxeFX as your I/O source in Ableton.

Then, read your manual to understand which blocks you need to add to your AxeFX chain to route data to Ableton and back.

If you integrate the Axe with Ableton as Vittorio described, you can select sources for your tracks as follows:

The signal from the AFX Output 1 block is available in stereo on USB Inputs 1&2.

The signal from the AFX Output 2 block is available in stereo on USB Inputs 3&4.

The raw signal from the AFX Input 1 block is available in stereo on USB Inputs 5&6.

The raw signal from the AFX Input 2 block is available in stereo on USB Inputs 7&8.

There are also 8 USB output channels that will allow you to send audio from Ableton to the Axe unit.

This info is also documented in the Axe FX user manual.
