Friedman JJ 100 Deluxe 3-channel Jerry Cantrell amp in cream white tolex Signed and RARE !
Hi there folks,
I am offering this boutique dream amplifier.
Limited edition in cream white tolex, personally signed by Jerry Cantrell and Dave Friedman.
The amp is in 100% working condition and completely retubed.
As you can see on a pics, there are just a few dings in the tolex here and there, but nothing major.
There are 4 JJ 12AX7 in preamp (V1 and V2 position are gold-pinned JJ tubes) In poweramp we have 4 JJ EL34 II tubes. I can also add 4 unlabelled NOS preamp tubes (they are working without problem, I just prefer those gold-pinned JJ 12ax7 in the preamp).
What´s special about this amp is that it has a professional Deluxe mod. What this mod contains:
1. JBE channel has its own gain and master level potentiometers, so you can fine-tune the amount of overdrive and volume ratio between the BE and the JBE channel.
2. Added Thump potentiometer (same as BE-50 deluxe or BE-100 deluxe) - it is the output stage response for the lowest bass frequencies, on other devices often referred to as resonance, deep, depth, etc. - makes sound more brutal and heavy /,,/
3. Added Response potentiometer (same as on the be-50 deluxe) - this potentiometer tunes the ratio of so-called negative feedback in the amplifier output stage. Simply put, this is the "feel potentiometer" - turning to the left makes the sound and especially the feel of the amp more spongy, slower attack and a bit softer character similar to the older BE100 2015, dirty shirley or smallbox amps.
Turning response to the right makes the amp much faster in response, the sound and feel of the amp is suddenly much more aggressive and you can achieve extreme "tight" response in sound - similar to diezel, ksr, revv, fortin stuff, etc.
It´s for sure my most beloved pot, which totally changes the character of the amplifier - this pot should be on more amps! ;-)
4. Added overall master 2 - suitable to use, for example, if we want to use the BE crunch channel for solo (ala Led Zeppelin) but we do not want to use other, more higain oriented JBE channel.
Amp footswitch jack is modded to use with TRS cable, so it´s 3 channel amp now !
This whole deluxe mode is about making the amp as versatile as possible.
This mod doesn't change the sound in any way, it just makes it far more versatile than before.
This amp is for those, who wants only the best that today's market has to offer!
As you can see from photos, I am selling this with custom amp cover with it´s own pocket for accessories and I will also add
a professional midi switcher from Voodoo lab, so you can integrate this amp with you midi gear without problem.
