It now needs opengl drivers, install your graphics card latest driversI was using version 2.55 on Windows 8.1 x64 and it worked fine, but when I updated to the latest version it won't start.
Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

No, check if your antivirus doesn't block it maybeMy video drivers are up to date (ATI Radeon 4250) . Is there a way I can use the older version and stop it from updating?

I've checked farther and it seems the opengl supported by this gfx card is too old...My video drivers are up to date (ATI Radeon 4250) . Is there a way I can use the older version and stop it from updating?
No, i guess wine doesn't support opengl calls... i'll remove opengl in future versionI use FracTool under wine and gives me the same error, is there a location where we can download older versions ?
So it's definitely a gfx driver problem, not handling opengl...If I am not mistaken I am running wine 3.8 and FracTool 2.72 starts without issues.

Edit: Some more info
OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed 64bit
Graphics card: Radeon HD7750
OpenGL: 3.0 Mesa 18.0.3 (according to the result of glxinfo | grep "OpenGL version")
wine: 3.8 (just checked)
No, i'll revert the changes tomorrowI'm running Debian buster with wine 3.0 and just gives the exception. I have the proper nvidia drivers for debian. I'm not asking to make changes and its great to know it works on 3.8 but could we access an older version just temporarily ?
Thank you

Yes but few users don't have opengl 2.1+ drivers...It does - it has for a while now.
