FracTool - for power users only

Hey Al wanted to post a message to say have FracPad running on MacBook Pro as well as Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition and it works amazing on both - super happy with the purchase for the android tablet and the fact you offer for free on the Mac is crazy amazing. Thanks for all the hard work and responding so quickly to my questions when I was setting it up on the android.
 
Hi everyone. Im using this awesome tool to convert axe fx ii presets to ax8. I just received my Ax8 on monday and I havent owned a Fractal Product since my Ultra days.
I would like to see if someone can explain to me how can I save just the blocks to my ax8 blocks library, when doing so in fractool block files have the syx extension instead of blk.

Does anyone knows how to fix this??

FracTool does not support blk files. Export whole presets then in AX8Edit you can export blk from presets
 
Hi Al, I can't get past "this application failed to start because dwmapi.dll was not found" error. this is only happening on my 2 Win Xp laptops. Win7 computers are ok. I tried to find the dll file but a search failed to find that dll. Any ideas? Fractool used to work upto 2.55 I think. I copied the dll from win7 and a new error came up stating it could'nt find entry point for msvcrt.dll. this dll is in the system32 folder so I don't know what the program need for xp to run it.

I cant work out how to audition IRs from my hard drive on my AX8 like AxeFX Send used to do for AXEFXII. What page/tab should I be on, do I just drag a directory onto it, and how do I set the audition time? Thanks.
 
Ah, Found out that you must drag syx files not directories, but when I select any of the files in the cabs popup windows I get Error 18 appear in the main window - is this a known issue?
 
Ive associated Fractool with syx files, and if I click on individual IRs in a windows explorer directory it will open fractool send the files then close fractool. If I open Fractool and drop a number of the same files in it gives the "Error 18" issue.

Hi,
I checked this morning and everything works as expected : Drop a folder of cabs on the fasDevice icon in FracTool and you'll be presented the audition window. Then hit the next/prev buttons to audition next/prev cab... That's it
Of course the current preset in your AxeFx/AX8 must have a cab block
Then you'll see "Cab block 1 set to Scratchpad
Sent ok" in the log window

The error 18 happens if the sent file has incorrect size (ultra irs on II etc...)

If I send the same syx IR files to my AXEII (after switching off AX8 and restarting FracTool) - it sends the files to the AXEII OK!

Is there a difference in AX8 and AXEII syx format??
