Seems to be working better now. Sometimes the controls are very laggy. Now the Cab names will not load all the way. Double checked with Ax edit that they were in the AX8. I am connected with Ud-BT01

Yes it's not aimed to fix that but the "knobs get laggy"

How do you connect your UD-BT01? With midimittr or directly in FracPad?

No
You'd have to connect the AxeFx3 to the iPad wirelessly with Yamaha MD-BT01 or with a MIDI adapter. In both ways, you'd have to use DIN MIDI ports
