Hey!

The forum now forces everyone to the SSL version of the site so all your interactions with your fellow Fractilites are safe from man-in-the-middle attacks.

We're using a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate on the site. They provide a valuable service by making SSL certificates free and easy to renew!

If your browser doesn't show you a positive "secure" notification you should worry! Someone is MitM'ing your session!

Stay safe out there!

That's pretty cool.
Any particular reason for this choice?
Just for prevention?
It's just better for the world if you use SSL all the time. Browsers and web servers are fast enough to handle the encryption overhead without anyone noticing a drag on performance.

And I sleep better at night knowing that no one is getting their password to the site, which might be the password they use everywhere, scooped up by a man-in-the-middle listening on a session.

Do we do/install anything to secure things at our end or are our messages automatically encrypted for us now?
Encryption is good, and i feel better with it, now with things going on.
