The Fortin Grind is a TC Electronics Pre with the tone controls in a fixed position. There is already a TC Electronics Pre model so this would be redundant.

Yes, it is in the amp block as a boost type. I use it a bit, but now that the integrated pre is in the drive block I prefer that because I can set the treble and bass to what I need it to be. I also found that the Buxom Boost is an even more versatile boost. You can dial in the mids and set the bass response as well.

I like mine with the bass all the way down, treble at 5 and the level about 7 but...

Ah yes, I remember this video. Very enlightening. He has the settings Fortin used from the TC pre in the Grind pedal. Zero the bass out and turn the treble down to 4. Did this just now and it is indistinguishable between the grind in the amp block and the TC Pre in the drive block.
