FM3 Firmware Version 4.00 beta 1

Just downloaded / installed and count me in as a believer about the Cygnus update.

Just incredible in regards to the sound and the feel. There were a few amps / presets that I wasn't a fan of, but with the new update, I'm actually liking a lot now.

The new Cygnus firmware sounds totally awesome on the FM3!!!

Have A/B'd multiple LiveGold presets (Bank 1, Marshall styles) to the identical Cygnus firmware 16.x on my Axe- Fx III, and the presets virtually sound the same!!! Wow!

My FM3 and an FC-6 will be going to future gigs instead of my Axe-Fx III now! Hat's off/great job to the Cliff and the Fractal engineers porting this Axe-Fx III Cygnus firmware over to the FM3, well done team Fractal!
@austinbuddy im a big fan of your LiveGold presets, could you let us know what (if anything) you did to them after installing Cygnus? Refresh after firmware? Reset amp block? Etc thanks very much.

No bug by now.

I'm trying Cygnus presets for AxeFx III, adapting them for the FM3 and there is a huge difference. Really impressed!

Just installed and done some adjustments on some presets.
I used filers or multiband compressors to adjust sound for highgain tones until cygnus. Now I am able to get the sound without it.
Great.
And it seems to use a little less CPU even before removing the now unneeded blocks.

I had added Out2 block because of issue in 3.03 beta.
Now working again only using Copy out 1.
But yes, Volume is lower than before.
I had to crank up Out2 knob too at least a quarter of position before update.

Until now no bugs or issues, but not tested excessive.

Just a question to the beta testers, and to win some time, did you notice any parameters that you adapted in a similar way on all of your presets/amp types ?
Anyway, I must give this a shot today.

Low cut disabled on some presets.
Bias ext and negative feedback adjusted.
Output eq set to off if engaged on some presets.
Adjust treble middle bass and gain a little.
Until now...

Anyone know what the "old" Friedman HBE is now called? Is it Friedman HBE 2010?

Models in "Cygnus" amp modeling firmware and later:

"Based on latest version of amp. There are now three "Voicings": V1, V2 and V3 corresponding to the three positions of the Voice switch."

It may not be the best idea to play rehearsal/gig with beta firmware. :)

You are correct, but I am going to rehearse with my traditional setup and then use some spare time to test the FM3. So, no harm if there are a couple of bugs here and there. Looking forward to it!
