FM3 FM3 direct recording or through SSL 2 soundcard

I just purchased an FM3 along with an EV2 which is due to arrive next week.Wanted the FM9 but ran out patience so got myself an FM3.This is my first Fractal product and very excited to be a part of Fractal family.

Well there is some advice I'm looking for.I use my pedal board connected to an SSL2 audio interface from which I am getting satisfactory results.But in case of FM3 shall I go direct through USB or shall I connect it to my SSL2 interface and then record? Is it convinient for mixing tracks using FM3 as an audio interface or should I do it using my SSL2 interface?
Except for Guitar and Bass everything else that I use are digital instruments.I use Breyerdynamics DT770 for mixing.
