Bug? FM3 Crackling/buzzing in loop

I have my FM3 in the loop of a Soldano SLO-30, and it's giving me a weird crackle that I can't seem to get rid of. Any insight would be awesome.

  • Cabled up in "FX PROCESSOR ONLY (“POST”)" mode, per the user manual
  • Input 2 mode is set to Left Only
  • Input 2 padding set to 0, but adjusting it makes no difference w/crackle
  • Out 2 knob fully clockwise, but adjusting it makes no difference again
  • Latest firmware
  • I've done a factory reset
  • Blank preset with no effects (all shunts) to rule out it being CPU related
  • Output block is not clipping
Here's a video of the amp without the FM3 in the loop. To rule out it being the amp itself, I put a plain old MXR reverb in the loop here. No crackle at all, and I'm using the same cables that I use for the FM3:

And here's a video of the crackling noise with the FM3 in the loop. Same cables, no effects, just a blank preset with nothing but an input and output block.

Any insight on getting this sorted would really be appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: Whoops, this probably shouldn't be in the bug forum. My bad.

Chris, is USB connected? If so, let's try it with that disconnected.
Also, are you using Humbuster cables?

Thanks for the reply!

- USB makes no difference (it was connected in that vid). Crackle persists without it.

- I'm not using humbuster cables. The cables are good though, and if I swap in an Axe-Fx or my kemper the crackle goes away, it's just with the FM3.

Tried running the FM as a pedalboard, with IN 1 and OUT 1 (at -10 dB), at unity gain? Just to compare and check for crackle?
