FM3 buzzing sound when going into amp’s fx loop return

Sorry if this is the wrong sub forum for this question, but here goes…

So I’ve tried plugging the FM3 into the fx loop return of several amps, and the only ones that don’t create a loud buzzing sound are the EVH 5150iii (50w), and SD170. Every other amp fx loop just seems to hate it.

So I’m just wondering why this might be, and if there’s a way to remedy it. Would a humbuster cable do the trick?

If you're using Out 2, a Humbuster cable could help. It's not a regular TS to TRS cable, page 6 in the FM3 manual shows a diagram of how it needs to be wired.
 
I had this problem. I plug into the FX return of two JCM900 amps. One of them had a slight buzz, the other didn't. I bought humbuster cables and don't have any noise now.
