FM3 - Audiophile quality signal path as Axe-Fx III or not?

I have a question regarding audiophile quality signal path.

As stated for AXE 3: "The audiophile-quality signal path features Burr-Brown® SoundPlus™ and Analog Devices® op amps, PPS film caps, a high-voltage bipolar power supply for low distortion and maximum headroom, and flagship-quality Cirrus Logic® converters with fully differential input and output circuitry."

Will this be the case for FM3 too ? Or does it use cheaper components through signal path ?

Thanks!
Just get the Axe 3 if your use case demands the best possible signal path.

This. To expect the best of everything at a fraction of the cost is unrealistic and unfair to a manufacturer. In the market place for anything there are very few things that just have huge margin and they can offer the same product essentially at half the price.

Logically, I believe Fractal will not release a product to replace the AX8 that's noticeably inferior to the AX8. If they wanted to keep the AX8 in production I believe that the FM3 would be different but not necessarily better or worse unless it was simply put out to satisfy consumer demand for a less expensive alternative to the AX8. My 2 cents.

The good question isn’t to compare FM3 to AxeFxIII BUT with Ax8.

So the question is =
Does the FM3 offer same or better audio path quality (converters-secret sauce-noise) compared to Ax8?
Cliff?

I agree with you, and I go back to my previous comment that I believe that if Fractal intended the FM3 to be a step down from the AX8 (perhaps, for example, to fill consumer demand for a less expensive modeler), then they would have kept the AX8 in production -- or -- replaced the AX8 with something in between the FM3 and the AXE III.

Because I started this thread, I feel obliged to report that after debating whether or not to sell my AX8 for a while, I did just sell it. I was able to sell it for more than I paid for it and I do believe that the FM3 will be as good or better than the AX8.
