FM3 as an FX processor only

I know it is a digital signal but still less digital sounding then going through XLR out and then again conversion through my sound card.....so The convertors are that good that I hear a digital sound sounding like it is analog :)
I'm still not following you.

If you use S/PDIF, the only (output) conversion you are hearing is the D/A converter sending analog signal to your speakers/headphones. The Axe and interface are sending through 0s and 1s with no conversion.

In the XLR case, that single conversion becomes three:

1. Axe D/A
2. Interface A/D
3. Interface D/A to speakers / headphones

Exactly, we are talking the same just with different words…. Sorry, I am Dutch ;)

My point is that the Fractal sounds sooo good that even with a single conversion it makes it sound like an analog amp !
S/Pdif is the way to go :)
Thanks mate !!
