First PA + guitar cab attempt tomorrow - any important tips?

So I finally got myself a PA (HoTone Loudster, cheapo solid-state solution but reviews say it's flatter than the Seymour Powerstage) and a 112 cab with a V30 in it. I'm very happy with how the Axe sounds through my studio speakers but I'd like to hear some real AITR tones, too.
Is there anything I should be aware of other than turning off Cab Sim globally? I'm thinking of ideas like lo and hi cuts or any other kind of adjustments that yield better results with this usage scenario? Thanks in advance

Don't assume Cab Modeling off is the way to go. Try it both ways. You may like it on.
