First bug after installing Ares firmware

Hi, I have encountered a problem with my axe fx2 after downloading the new Ares firmware directly from Fractal website. The problem is that I cannot manually select the tuner, nor can I manually change presets, both of these can only be changed through the footswitch.
Do I reload the latest Quantum firmware over the Ares? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Hi, thanks so much for helping! Yes pushing the tuner or any other button does nothing, nor does turning the round knob! I only have control of presets and tuner via the footswitch.

Even if i disconnect the footswitch i cannot operate the unit, it has been unbreakable before i installed Ares.

It's not ares.
Try flashing it again.
But it looks more like a loose frontplate connector

Hi, AlGrenadine, you were exactly correct, plug was loose, put some tape on it, and all works aok. I was going to change the battery but wasn't sure if removing it would loose any settings? Back to normal regardless. Clever man, thanks again.
