fingernail bed separation

Anybody get this from pulling off I guess too much. Whenever I haven't played much then play hard and a lot, I get that pain right where the nail hits the top of

I've never had this issue... I keep my nails fairly short.

Yep. Happens to me either when I haven't played a lot, or if I've cut my nails a little too short.

What gauge strings do you use?

Do you "reinforce" your bending finger with another finger?

I mean it could be a technique issue, a gear issue or a physiological one... Or a combination.

Dude my nails stay invisibly short and I’ve never had that issue,l. If L anything, with your nails short there’s really nothing to catch the string under. Show us a picture of you bending a note so we can see what’s going on. Otherwise we’re just pissing in the wind here.

I usually hold the cut closed and apply super glue.
