Fender Strat -> which amp / cab settings for Rock sounds?

Hey all,
I am playing lots with my Fender CS single coils and for Clean sound I love the Deluxe Vibrato with Factory Cab 279 (SM57) + 282 (Royer 121) if I remember well. Amp can be used in default settings...
For my gain sounds I use mainly the Brit 800 with the 'bright' off....with the PR75 SM57+121 mix from ML...awesome cab !!
EQ wise the Brit 800 can be used in many settings.....but still have to dial the input eq hicut at around 4000....to get rid of the sharp single coil bridge pickup sound...

I have attached my main UPDATED preset without Global Blocks...add your User 1 cab to your preference....4 scenes....
I could use some other settings and possibilities....have some preset packs among the Naked amp pack of Austin Buddy....but somehow the gain sounds don't work out for my taste....:(

What are you guys using with your Strat sounds ...settings , amp+cab combinations ?
Share presets , recordings ?
Many thanks :)

Great choice for guitar. What are you using for amplification? The Marshall sims are great, and there are many in that range that are slightly different if the 800 isn't doing it for you.

With my strat I usually use the JTM45 jumped model with a ruckus ge in front or the dirty shirley alone, both coupled with the 1x12 far field IR Jay Mitchell recently shared on TGP.

Anyway, did you try simply rolling off your guitar tone knob? I think turning it to 6 or 7 goes a long way in taming the single coil ice-pick.

That guitar is amazing !!!
I use Eve Audio SC305 monitors....before this the Yamaha HS8......no problems with getting great sounds out of these monitors...The JCM and lots of other or actually : I don't have any problem with getting great sounds of many amps / cabs......just curious what other people do with Strats....instead of the tone button roll off , I use the Hicuts in the Amps itself....

If you dig the 800 but want something a little less shrill try the Atomica High.

Yes, know that amp and used to use it....somehow the JCM800 has something 'special ' though.......and with the input eq Hicut around 4000hz it sounds awesome with my Strat...:)

HI Anand
Thanks for sharing the preset.
When I load it, Most of the blocks are linked to global block 1, and I get no sound. Looking at the levels, All of them are down (in all blocks) - Even after unlinking, and bringing the block levels up, I get no sound.
Seems others have it working ok?
Any ideas? Thanks
Pauly

When you like the Brit 800, then also try the 1987X, the Atomica Amps, the Friedman HBs, the Euro blue and the 5153s.

Besides the highs the thing with single coils is, that the bass goes lower but they have less low mids compared to a humbucker. So you could lower around 100hz-150hz and boost around 200hz-400hz to fix that a bit with an eq before the amp block.
When using a PEQ block besides peaking, you should also try peaking 2, it's magic!

A different way is to make a very large mid boost. Set Q around 0,25, turn up gain some db, start at 300hz and shift the freq upwards until the boost don't reaches the lows anymore (150hz and lower not boostet at all).

Oh, forgot about my global blocks.....will upload later another one without.....check out the Multimixer settings.....it should be in scene 1 : on channel B , 3rd row.....scene 2 : Channel C , 4th row....else you won't get sounds....

Thanks for the advice on the boost ...400hz works magic indeed, Peaking 2 !!!
