Fender 4 button footswitch useable?

I have a 4 button fender footswitch that is used for the fender mustang. Is it possible to use the buttons on there for scene switching and/or looper play/stop/record?
 
No I don't think it will work. Looks like it uses a mono 1/4" cable to connect to the amp, so it must be sending a digital signal to distinguish the different button presses and functions. It also has LED display and indicators, so it's got powered circuitry inside. You need simple mechanical switches that make and break the connections from sleeve to tip and sleeve to ring on a TRS cable. Four switches would then require two TRS cables. It might be possible to gut the pedal and rewire its foot switches directly to a pair of TRS jacks if you are willing to sacrifice the pedal's stock functionality.
 
I would guess no. It looks like it sends specific signals to the mustang, and not generic switch signals.
