I've been listening to lots of AC/DC lately and wondering if I wanted to back off on my high gain rock tones.
So, during line check last night I switched my main preset from the AFD2 model to the JCM1987 Treble (I think). Cranked the master, even though it was probably defaulted to 10 and turned knobs for a minute and told myself to live with it.
It was so much fun. Super smooth, heavy and chimey. Once I connect the AX8 to my PC I can share the block. I was going into a Crown Power Amp that powered a 2x12 with Eminence Patriots via an FX out.
I guess the point of this is I can fall into the over tweaking thing easily but the AX8 is at its heart a tool for playing live... So I just went with it. Thanks @yek for keeping simplicity relevant with your presets and posts.
