Feedback Needed: Atomic Passive Cab + Rockton Velocity 300

Anyone running this combo? What is your feedback? I'm not keen on having a tube power amp and thought this might be a good SS combo with an AXE FX.

Re: Feedback Needed: Atomic Passive Cab + Rockton Velocity 3

I am and it sounds great. I'm using the wedges and not the traditional cabs.
I don't think I'll be much help however as I don't have anything but regular
ol' tube amps to compare against. No other FRFR experience thus far.
I've got an FBT Verve 8ma now so in the future I might be of more use.

I love the wedge layout. There are a couple of things however I would like to see
Atomic improve upon. First I would like to have a handle on the sides so that I
can grab a cab with one hand. (That's also a problem with the 8ma btw albeit a
smaller one since the 8ma is so compact). Second, the controls on the side
extrude from the body, so I'm worried that one of these days they might bang
into something and break off. For example if it's rubbing up against something
while in the car.

Other than that, this is a great combination. The controls on the rocktron do make a
difference but as I said, I don't have a high quality SS amp to compare against. Before
I decided to go for the rocktron, I read a lot of reviews and in the end I was looking at
either the rocktron or the art2. So far, all the reviews I've read comparing those two
have favored the rocktron, so that's what I went with. Going with the powered version
of the Atomics wasn't something I was interested in due to the tube amps. I don't want
to deal with tubes and the weight of the amp makes the cab significantly heavier on
one side.

imho, ymmv
