FCB1010 Expression pedal Spring - return to heel position

Hey there,
Trying to switch to Axe and only having the FCB1010 on the floor.

Got the phantom power and 7 pin midi done so there is only one wire.

Although the Wah in the Axe is nice it is hard to give up one's Morley. The deal killer is the expression pedal as the Morley is spring loaded and the FCB is not.

So what to do?

Buy the Morley sparepart 'Spring Set'. It comes with spring and screw that fits the FCB. The only modification is to cut 5mm off the Morley 'outer' spacer, cut 10mm off the spring and slightly file the washer flat on one side (as the diameter is slightly bigger than what there is room for).

This took less than an hour and works wonderfully. Feels just like the Morley (except the FCB plastic pedals are a bit flimsy). With the auto engage you can dial in a Morley on the Axe and have the morley feel. Tada!

I haven't tried but I guess it can be made in to 'auto toe position' as well.

Anyone know if this is possible w the Fractal EV-2? Moog ep-3, Line6 ex-1, M Audio ex-p?

Yep. You just need to shorten the spring (the side that touches the board) and shorten the 'outer' spacer.

i looked at my fractal ev-2. I dont think its gonna work. but i love the magic!
