Fc12 locking up and mini screens go blank but still backlit

im on fw12.03 and last practice couldn’t get my fc12 to stop locking up. Rebooting the axe3 gets it working but within a few stomps it’s back to locked up. Does it across multiple presets and the specific button stomped doesn’t seem to matter. I did edit some layouts prior to getting the problem so I’m assuming I inadvertently caused a bug to show up. Tried a different cable too.

Any thoughts? Should I upgrade to fw 12.05 or try to deal with this before I throw in another variable?

There are a couple of threads in the FC forum on similar issues, and Fractal is looking into it. Unfortunately, I believe the engineer in charge of this got sick so had to stay home for a bit. Hoping for a quick and full recovery for him.

Try a new cable.

I had a similar issue. The ribbon cable inside my unit wasn't seated all the way.

I tried a second cable with no charge.

So the ribbon cable.. is this inside the Ax3 or the FC or both?

In the FC and a bit of a tight fit, but manageable.

My lose ribbon cable was in my Ax3, not the controller. (Sorry I wasn't clearer)
